On September 15, 1942 gunner Sgt Glenn C. Keclik aboard B-17F 41-24427 went Missing In Action (MIA) on a night bombing mission against Rabaul. The card in the upper portion of the medal presentation box is a business card that reads: "War Department [U.S. Army seal] It is an honor for me to forward this decoration [signed] Robert P.
