CCC Memorial Plaque
Located on the Allied Memorial at the WWII Memorial Park. The plaque reads: "1933 - 1942 To the many thousands of ou CCC buddies, America's tree soldiers of the 1930s who became a large part of our armed forces during the 1940s together with their fellow Americans who perished in the conquest of these western Pacific Islands and surrounding seas. We who survived salute you. We will remember you forever. February 1991
