One of the largest collections
of warbirds in the United States, also home of a renowned annual
airshow. Formally known as the "Confederate Air Force", their name was
officially changed to the "Commemorative Air Force". The CAF
also has many brances including CAF
San Diego and CAF Camarillo.
An early donor was Robert L. Griffin of San Antonio, TX who purchased three planes for the CAF including A-24 Dive Bomber, SB2C Helldiver and FM-2 Wildcat.
American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum
This is an extensive museum covering WWII history, aviation hall of fame, displays related to aircraft and aviation, and special exhibits, like original WWII nose art.
