Aircraft History Built by Boeing. Constructors Number 11547. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-29A-60-BN Superfortress serial number 44-62070. Postwar During 1958 to 1971 stored at NAS China Lake. On August 3, 1971 aquired by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF). During 1981, registered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as N4249. Restored to flying condition using components and parts from three B-29 Superfortresses. On September 10, 1991 registered as N529B. Painted in the markings of "Fifi". During 2006, the aircraft began a major restoration that included replacing all four engines. In 2010 returned to airworthy status and tours the United State as part of the CAF Air Power History Tour.
