This is a definative book about the Battle of the Bismarck Sea one of the critical turning points in the New Guinea campaign, when a convoy of Japanese transports were intercepted and sunk by American and Australian aircraft in the Bismarck Sea and prevented reinfocements from joining the Japanese 18th Army in New Guinea.
