Heaven High, Ocean Deep
Naval Fighter Wing At War

This book details the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (FAA) in the Far East including four fleet carriers in the Indian Ocean and later the Pacific Ocean between April 1944 until August 1945 when Japan surrendered. The book tells the story of Commonwealth pilots of the FAA. In the Pacific that participated in strikes against Sumatra, Leyte and Okinawa and finally attacks against the Japanese home islands. During the Pacific War, the main British aircraft carrier was HMS Indomitable with the 5th Fighter Wing.
