|Low Level Attack
This book includes full page and half page photos of low level attacks in the Pacific theater. Each photo is presented with the official caption or brief commentary and most are dated and from official collections.
Represented are A-20 and B-25 strikes in New Guinea, Allied attacks in the Philippines and Formosa. Many of these photos are from the John W. Lambert collection. US Navy strikes in the Philippine Sea, P-38s over Iwo Jima, Privateers in the Western Pacific and P-51 and USN Carrier strikes over Japan. The book also includes photographic profiles of the types of Allied aircraft used in the Pacific, some nose art and airfield crash photos.
Although many of these photos will already be familiar to readers, and include many famous low level sequences, like "Death of an A-20", this book does presents them in large format in a single book, making it a worthwhile library addition. The captions below each photo are written in english. An appendix in the rear includes all captions in Japanese.
