Red Arrow Across the Pacific The Thirty-Second Infantry Division during World War II This book is a history of the U.S. Army, 32nd Infantry Division "Red Arrow" in the Pacific War during World War II. The book begins with a chapter on the roots of the Division that was formed after the Civil War and served in World War I. Chapter 2 titled "Our Kindergarten" begins in late 1940 when the division reported for a year of federal service at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana and training in the United States. Chapter 3 begins in December 1941 with the U.S. entry into World War II and preparations for deployment overseas. Chapter 4 covers the voyage across the Pacific to Australia.
