Sun Setters of the Southwest Pacific Area From Australia To Japan: An Illustrated History of the 38th Bombardment Group (M) 5th Air Force World War II 1941-1946 As Told and Photographed by Men Who Were There This book is a comprehensive history of the 38th Bombardment Group (38th BG) "Sun Setters" in the South West Pacific Area (SWPA) during World War II. This book was published by the 38th Bombardment Group Association, based off the text written by Lawrence J. Hickey / IHRA with Japanese side research by Osamu Tagaya. This book includes several extra sections including a color photo section. The end of the book includes appendixes including: A-I list of leadership including group and squadron commanders and their dates, A-II chronological list of losses, A-III list of aircraft by squadron and serial number, A-IV aircraft markings and A-V aircraft profiles.
