Ship History
Built in 1881 as Kelat.

Wartime History
During July 1941 requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for use as a bulk coal carrier and refueling lighter.

Sinking History
On February 19, 1942 while inside Darwin Harbor, targeted by Japanese carrier aircraft and was hit by machine gun fire and damaged. Over the next two days, sank to the south of the Darwin wharves at a depth of 39' / 12 meters with the deck superstructure above the surface.
