Ship History
Built by Consolidated Steel Corp, Shipbuilding Div. in Orange, TX. Laid down March 11, 1944 as LCI-351 Class Landing Craft Infantry (Large). Launched April 5, 1944 as as USS LCI(L)-974. Commissioned April 30, 1944 into the U.S. Navy (USN). Later, reclassified as USS LCI(M)-365.

Wartime History
During January 1945 participated in the U.S. landing in Lingayen Gulf off Luzon in the Philippines.

Sinking History
On January 10, 1945 at 4:30am struck by a Japanese assault demolition boats (suicide boats) that managed to infiltrate the transport area and exploded and sank into Lingayen Gulf at roughly Lat 16°06'N, Long 120°14'E.

Awards
For her World War II service earned one battle star for Lingayen Gulf.
