Ship History
Built by Winslow Marine Railway and Shipbuilding Company in Seattle, Washington. Laid down February 22, 1943 as Admirable-class minesweeper. Launched May 16, 1943 as USS Scrimmage (AM-297). Commissioned April 4, 1944 in the U.S. Navy (USN) with Lt. Robert Van Winkle in command.

Sinking History
During February 1982 sunk as an artificial reef off western Ohau.

Shipwreck
The shipwreck is a depth of between 58' to 92'. Later in 1982, a hurricane moved the ship 90 degrees. Today, this shipwreck is a popular dive site. It lies upright, with the three decks and a pilot house is located between 58' and 78'.
