Tank History Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) as Type 89 Yi-Go medium tank hull number unknown. Wartime History This tank was transported to Luzon in the Philippines. In February 1945, this tank was part of static defenses in the vicinity of Mount Malarayat in the Malepunyo Range. During February 1945 this tank was damaged by U.S. Army attack and abandoned intact. Wreckage In 1946, the tank and other Japanese weapons were recovered by Don Arsenio Escudero and transported to his property at Villa Escudero. Display The tank is displayed at Villa Escudero Plantation & Resort outdoors in a display area near the Villa Escudero Museum and residence.
