Background
During 1938, established as the 27th Hiko Sentai (27th Flying Regiment) in the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) operated the Ann, Mary, Sonia and finally the Ki-45 Nick.

Wartime History
During 1944, operated the Ki-45 Nick in the Philippines.

During November 1944 detachment arrives at Bacolod Airfield on western Negros until September 1944.
