Headquarters 13th Fighter Command (XIII Fighter Command), 13th Air Force (13th AF) was part of the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF).

Wartime History
On January 13, 1943 HQ XIII Fighter Command under the command of Brigadier General Dean C. Strother is established at Noumea on New Caledonia.

On January 22, 1943 HQ XIII Fighter Command moves to Espiritu Santo.

On December 1, 1943 HQ XIII Fighter Command moves to Guadalcanal.

On August 15, 1944 HQ XIII Fighter Command moves to Sansapor Airfield on western New Guinea in the South West Pacific Area (SWPA).

On January 10, 1945 HQ XIII Fighter Command moves to Leyte in the Philippines.

On March 1, 1945 HQ XIII Fighter Command moves to Puerto Princesa Airfield on Palawan until the end of the Pacific War.
