Background
The Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) 52nd Hiko Sentai (52nd Flying Regiment) operated the Type 4 Fighter Hayate / Ki-84 Frank.

Wartime History
During April 1944 moves to Osaka.

During May 1944 moves to Ashiya on Kyushu.

During September 1944 moves Del Carmen Airfield on Luzon in the Philippines.

During October 1944 moves to Alicante Airfield (Saravia) on Negros in the Philippines.

During November 1944 returns to Del Carmen Airfield.

During December 1944 moves to Shimodate Airfield.

During March 1945 moves to Itami Airfield and later in the month moves to Kakogawa Airfield.

During April 1945 returns to Shimodate Airfield.

During July 1945 moves to Chofu Airfield until the end of the Pacific War.
