Aircraft History Built by Douglas Aircraft Company. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-20G-25-DO Havoc serial number 43-9092. Shipped across the Pacific to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA). Reassembled at the 4th Air Depot at Garbutt Field at Townsville. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 312th Bombardment Group (312th BG), 386th Bombardment Squadron (386th BS) and flown on a ferry flight from Cairns, Horn Island, 7 Mile Drome to Nadzab Airfield. Mission History On May 1, 1944 took off piloted by Col Strauss on a mission. While landing, suffered a landing accident at Gusap Airfield and was damaged and written off. Wreckage After July 4, 1944, the tail fin of this aircraft was used to repair A-20G 43-21627. Contribute
