Aircraft History
Built by Douglas Aircraft Company. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-20A Havoc serial number 40-139. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 3rd Bombardment Group (3rd BG), 89th Bombardment Squadron (89th BS). Nicknamed "Maid In Japan" in white with the nose art of a female figure standing on the left side of the nose. Assigned to pilot Lt. Klatt. This aircraft operated from 3 Mile Drome (Kila) near Port Moresby.

During early 1943, a U.S. Army Signal Corps photographer photographed many pilots, gunners and crew chiefs from the 89th Bombardment Squadron (89th BS) including 1st Lt. William W. Neel.

During November 1943 transfered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as A-20A Boston serial number A28-38. Assigned to No. 22 Squadron code unknown.

Fate
During April 1945, converted to components. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
