Contract 497338/36. Constructors Number 1015. Assigned Royal AIr Force (RAF) serial number K8799. Wartime History Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Anson Mark I serial number A4-20. Assigned to 1 Air Observer School. No known nickname or nose art. Mission History On May 22, 1944 crashed at Njewrybar north of Ballina, near Bryon Head, NSW. Afterwards, approved to be scrapped on May 26, 1944. Memorial The entire crew was officially declared dead the day of the mission. After the crash, the remains of the entire crew were recovered and buried at Evans Head War Cemetery Shackell at plot B row D grave 4. Woodgate at plot B. row C grave 5.
