Aircraft History Built by Boeing at Seattle. Constructors Number 2315. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-17E Flying Fortress Serial Number 41-2504. Ferried to Panama. Wartime History During April 1942 assigned to the 6th Air Force (6th AF), 6th Bombardment Group (6th BG), 25th Bombardment Squadron (25th BS). No known nose art or nickname. Wartime History During service in Panama, this B-17 was modified with a large antenna in the nose section and star with bar markings and spotted camouflage. During July 1944, returned to the United States. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
