Built by Consolidated. Constructors Number 3764. Delivered to the U. S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24J-120-CO Liberator serial number 42-109968. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA).
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 90th Bombardment Group, 400th Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "Tuttle Money". Painted on each side of the tail was the motif of the "Jolly Rogers" skull and crossed bombs marking with the last three digits of the serial number "968" painted in white above.
During the night of June 6, 1994 while parked at Wakde Airfield destroyed during an air raid by two G4M Betty bombers. This B-24 burned and by the next morning, only the tail section remained.
