Aircraft History Built by North American Aviation (NAA) at Air Force Plant NC at Fairfax Field near Kansas City, KS. Constuctors number 108-33257. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-25J-15/17-NC Mitchell serial number 44-28932. Postwar, placed into storage at Davis Monthan AFB. On June 12, 1959 aquired by Earl "Red" Dodge of Anchorage, AK and registered in the United States as N3476G. Converted to fire tanker, fitted with 1000 gallon tank, May, 1962 Next owned by Robert P. Schlaefli, Port Orchard, WA, 1966-1984. On November 6, 1985 purchased by The Collings Foundation. Painted as B-25 "Hoosier Honey" 44-8932. On June 10, 1987 crashed at Minute Man Field, Stowe, MA. Afterwards repaired and rebuilt. During 2002, repainted in the markings of B-25D "Tondelayo" 41-30669. On August 4, 2021 registration changed to "CCT of 1979 B-24 Series LLC B-25 Series" in Stow, MA, presumably a doing business as name for The Collings Foundation. Since November 2005, based at American Aero Services in New Smyrna Beach, FL. References USAF Serial Number Search Results - B-25J-15/17-NC Mitchell 44-28932 "28932 (MSN 108-33257) to MASDC Dec 1958. To civil registry as N3476G in 1959. Crashed at Minute Man Field, Stowe, MA Jun 10, 1987. Rebuilt. Name changed to Tondelayo in 2002. Was under restoration by Collings Foundation, MA as N3476G.
