Aircraft History Built by Martin in Baltimore, Maryland. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-26 Marauder serial number 40-1432. Wartime History During March 1942 assigned to 5th Air Force (5th AF), 22nd Bombardment Group (22nd BG), 2nd Bombardment Squadron (2nd BS). Assigned to pilot 1st Lt. Otto B. McIver with crew chief Gribble. Ferried by 1st Lt. McIver on a ferry flight via Hickam Field then across the Pacific arriving Brisbane on April 18, 1942. Nicknamed "Little Audry" with the nose art of Tondelayo a reclining female figure depicting Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr's character "Tondelayo" in the Hollywood film White Cargo (1942). On April 21, 1942 first combat mission. In total, this plane flew at least 13 combat missions with the 2nd BS. Also flown by Brown and Seigel. Crew chief Gribble. During June 1943, transfered to the 19th Bombardment Squadron (19th BS). Assigned to to pilot Burnside and crew chief Smith. On August 13, 1943 first combat mission with the 19th BS and at least twenty more combat missions. Sometime during 1943 stripped to bare aluminum as part of the "Silver Fleet" and retained the nicknamed "Little Audry" and nose art. During January 1944, flown to Brisbane and scrapped.
