Aircraft History
Built by the Department of Aircraft Production (DAP) at Fishermans Bend in Melbourne. Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufort Mark VIII serial number A9-689.

Wartime History
Assigned to No. 100 Squadron with code QH-? (single letter unknown). On August 5, 1944 this Beaufort was placed into storage by 5 Air Depot (5 AD). On July 19, 1945 assigned to 12 Repair Salvage Unit (12 RSU).

On August 28, 1945 while taxing at Tadji Airfield this Beaufort collided with Dakota A65-40 and was damaged. Afterwards, written off. During October 1945, converted to components and abandoned at Tadji Airfield.

Wreckage
This Beaufort remains in situ at Tadji Airfield with a partially intact cockpit section.
