Aircraft History Built by Dornier in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Werknummern 700 (Werk Nr 700). During December 1939 first test flight. Purchased by the Marine-Luchtvaartdienst (MLD) as the first and only Do 24K-2 model delivered in March 1940 as Do 24K-2 serial number X-37. On May 8, 1940 shipped overseas to the overseas to Morokrembangan Seaplane Base west of Surabaja on Java in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI) and departed only two days before the German invasion of the Netherlands. During 1940, assigned to Morokrembangan Seaplane Base but was not assigned to a specific squadron. Wartime History On February 3, 1942 destroyed by a Japanese air raid parked at Morokrembangan Seaplane Base.
