Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Mitsubishi J2M Raiden. Wartime History At the end of the Pacific War, this Jack was surrendered in Japan. Afterwards, transported to the United States for technical evaluation. Postwar After evaluation, it was abandoned. Given to a park in Los Angeles for use as a playground. Restoration Rescued by the efforts of Edward Maloney and moved to Planes of Fame Museum. This aircraft was static restored and painted with tail marking ヨD-1158 from the 302 Kōkūtai (302 Air Group) / Yokosuka Kōkūtai (Yokosuka Air Group). This Jack is displayed at the Planes of Fame Museum. This aircraft is the sole surviving J2M Raiden example in the entire world. Contribute
