Aircraft History Built by Junkers as Ju 52 3/m Werknummer J641375. This plane was impounded in Sweden. During 1945, assigned to Aerotrafik and registered as SE-AYB. During January 1946 registered as OY-DFU and nicknamed "Uffe Viking". During 1950, to PRIV Ahrenberg, registered in Sweeden as SE-AYB. Postwar During May 1955 one of three Ju-52s purchased by Gibbes Sepik Airways plus Ju 52 J7256 SE-BUE and Ju 52 J7493 SE-BUD. Afterwards, flown from Sweden to New Guinea. In March 1957 registered in Australia as VH-BUW and was used to fly cargo and passengers. On November 15, 1958 Gibbes Sepik Airways was sold to Mandated Airlines (MAL) but continued to operate as Gibbes Sepik Airways. In January 1959 re-registered as VH-GSW. Sometime afterwards, scrapped in Adelaide.
