Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi at Dotokua plant. At the factory, painted overall gray. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Type 100 Command Reconnaissance Aircraft Shinshitei / Ki-46-III Dinah manufacture number 5131. Wartime History Attached to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), 141 Kōkūtai (141 Air Group), Teisatsu 102 (T-102). Likely, assigned tail number 141-105, but this was not painted on the tail. Nose number 105. This Dinah operated from Luzon in the Philippines. Mission History This Dinah force landed at Bamban Airfield. Afterwards, the right engine and parts were removed. Wreckage On January 23, 1945 captured by the U.S. Army, 40th Infantry Division (40th ID), 160th Infantry Regiment (160th IR) at Bamban Airfield. On January 25, 1945 inspected and photographed by Allied Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU) that indicated this plane was "EAR" (Enemy Aircraft) Dinah Mark 3 with manufacture number 5131.
