Wartime History Built by Nakajima. Uncoded serial number unknown. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as Army Type 100 Heavy Bomber Donryu / Ki-49-II (Helen) manufacture number unknown. Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Hiko Sentai (Flying Regiment) in New Guinea. No known tail code or markings. This Helen was abandoned or destroyed while parked at Wewak Airfield (Wiruri). Wreckage Only a few pieces of wreckage remained on the north side of the road along the former airfield, now a road. Nothing much is left, other than the engines, a gear strut, and a few bits of aluminium. The rest have long since been scrapped or removed. It is one of the only traces of the Wirui (Wewak) airstrip's wartime history that is easily found. Contribute
