Aircraft History Built by Seversky Aircraft Company in Farmingdale, NY. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Corps (USAAC) as P-35A serial number unknown. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the Philippines and reassembled sometime between December 1940 to March 1941. Assigned to the Far East Air Force (FEAF), 24th Pursuit Group (Interceptor), 17th Pursuit Squadron (Interceptor) based at Nichols Filed near Manila on Luzon in the Philippines. This P-35A was assigned to pilot 1st Lt. Boyd D. "Buzz" Wagner, Commanding Officer (C. O.) of the 17th Pursuit Squadron. On the left side of the fuselage is the squadron's snow owl insignia and two vertical fuselage stripes on the rear fuselage and "2170". The tail code is 17 4MP and the rudder has red and white stripes. The ultimate fate of this aircraft is unknown, likely written off or otherwise disappeared by December 1941.
