Artwork depicting P-38H Lightning 42-66668 in service with the 36th Fighter Squadron late 1943–April 16, 1944
This aircraft was repainted from the earlier markings with the 80th Fighter Squadron when nicknamed "Corky Jr". The aircraft was painted overall olive drab with squadron number 22 green with white stripped propeller spinners and green with white stripped tips on the tails. On April 16, 1944 "Black Sunday" Missing In Action (MIA) piloted by 2nd Lt. Robert R. Keown.
