Built by Bell in Buffalo, New York. Delivered to the U.S. Army, serial number unknown. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 35th Fighter Group, 41st Fighter Squadron. No known nose art or nickname.

Wartime History
On April 12, 1943 took off from Port Moresby piloted by Edwards Park to intercept an incoming Japanese air raid. Damaged during the combat, this aircraft landed safely and was written off afterwards. Ultimate fate unknown, likely used for parts, scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
