Aircraft History
Built by the Indiana Division of Republic Aviation in at Evansville, IN. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-47D-2-RA Thunderbolt serial number 44-32691. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA) and reassembled.
Display
This P-47 was restored with a natural aluminum finish with a checkerboard nose with fuselage code E-LH by the NASM Paul E. Garber Facility. During the early 2000, placed on display at NASM Downtown. Since December 2005, displayed at the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center.
