The lines with arrow indicate the route of Sub Chaser No. 168 and aerial attacks by PB4Y-2 Privateer 59538 that was shot down and crashed into the sea plus PB4Y-2 piloted by Osborne that escaped to the southeast. The islands indicated are Uku Island (Ukashima), Tera Island (incorrectly sketched as attached to Uku), Mu Island and Nozaki Island and the northern tip of Nakadori Island in the northern Gotō Islands (Gotō Retto) in Japan surrounded by the East China Sea west of Kyūshū Island.
