Wartime History
Assigned to Patrol Squadron 24 (VP-24). No known nickname, nose art or squadron number.

Mission History
On July 12, 1943 took off piloted by Lt(jg) Robert C. Allen on a night patrol escort duty mission with enforced radio silence. Returning, this Catalina crashed in the vicinity of Tulagi. The entire crew was officially declared dead Missing In Action (MIA).

Memorials
The entire crew was officially declared dead the day of the mission. The entire crew is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery on the tablets of the missing.
