Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated. Constructors Number 33. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PBY-5 Catalina bureau number 2305. Assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as PBY-5 Catalina serial number A24-30. On October 19, 1942 assigned to No. 20 Squadron. On February 27, 1943. assigned to 3 Operational Training Unit (3 OTU).

Postwar
During October 1946 sold to Kingsford Smith Aviation Services.

Display
This Catalina is displayed at the Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum at Lake Boga Flying Boat Base. It is still complete with air screws but the engines have been removed and replaces with mounting plates. The fuselage is showing the signs of exposure to the elements and spectator attention but is generally in reasonable condition.
