Aircraft History Built by Lockheed as model 237-27-01 in Burbank. Constructors Number 237-6371. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PV-1 Ventura bureau number 49555. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia as part of defense aid. Wartime History On June 1, 1944 assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as PV-1 Ventura serial number A59-96. No known nickname or nose art. Display This Ventura was displayed at Chewing Gum Field Aircraft Museum. During 2001, moved to Queensland Air Museum and displayed outdoors.
