| JAAF ? Sentai ![]() Ray Fairfield 1972 |
Aircraft History Unidentified Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) twin engine bomber armed with a 20mm cannon. Likely a Type 100 Heavy Bomber Donryu / Ki-49 (Helen) or Type 97 Heavy Bomber / Ki-21 (Sally). Wreckage Unknown Japanese twin engine bomber that crashed near Sialum. Ray Fairfield adds: "I found a photo I snapped at the Japanese crash. The picannini was cold in the rain, late in the day, we didn't spend any time there, just scrap metal. Obviously twin-engined, and Japanese 20mm ammo around. I also remember belted heavy ammo, probably 12.7mm." References Thanks to Ray Fairfield for additional information Contribute
