This aircraft crashed at Sialum. Likely, this aircraft was a Ki-49 Helen.
Ray Fairfield adds:
"I found a photo I snapped at the Japanese crash. The picannini was cold in the rain, late in the day, we didn't spend any time there, just scrap metal. Obviously twin-engined, and Japanese 20mm ammo around. I also remember belted heavy ammo, probably 12.7mm."
