Aircraft History
Built by CAC constructors number 1101.

Wartime History
Assigned to the RAAF to 1 AD on June 12, 1944. Allocated to 2 OTU, but never assigned. Next to 8OTU on July 11, 1944.

Postwar
Assigned to 7 AD and placed into storage on November 26, 1945. On September 11, 1951 to 2 AD for refurbishment, then to 1 BSTS [Basic Flying Training School] on July 8, 1952 and operated from Uranquinty Airfield.

On March 26, 1954 piloted by Pilot Flg Off V Jackson, 05348 dropped the starboard wing while landing at Uranquinty Airfield damaging wing tip and flap.

Afterwards repaired and held as a reserve aircraft until January 18, 1957. Retired on October 30, 1958 and stored at Tocumwal Airfield.

Storage
On August 26, 1958 sold back to CAC for 750 pounds for conversionto CA28 Ceres and registered as VH-WIR, but unclear if any conversion was ever completed. Afterwards, stored at RAAF Point Cook Museum until 1983.

Export
In 1993, sold to Kermit Weeks / Fantasy of Flight and shipped to the United States. Damaged by Hurricane Andrew during 1992. Later moved to the Polk City location and stored in the restoration hanger.
