Location Lat 30° 29' 0" Long 114° 19' 0" Wuchang Airfield was located at Wuchang near Hankow (Hankou) near Lake Nan-hu (南湖, South Lake) in Hubei Province in China. During the Sino-Japanese War and Paciic War, this airfield was referred to as "Wuchang Airfield". Construction During 1936, built next to Lake Nan-hu and Nan-hu Seaplane Base. Wartime History During the war, the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) used Wuchang extensively, expanding it with two concrete surfaced runway: 1,550m running north-south and the second 1,450m running east-west.
