Wuchang Airfield (Nan-hu Airfield) Hubei Province China

Location
Lat 30° 29' 0" Long 114° 19' 0" Wuchang Airfield was located at Wuchang near Hankow (Hankou) near Lake Nan-hu (南湖, South Lake) in Hubei Province in China. During the Sino-Japanese War and Paciic War, this airfield was referred to as "Wuchang Airfield".

Construction
During 1936, built next to Lake Nan-hu and Nan-hu Seaplane Base.

Wartime History
During the Sino-Japanese War and Pacific War used by the Japanese until the official surrender of Japan. During 1943, the Japanese built Hsu-Chia Peng Airfield in Wuchang. With two airfields now in Wuchang, this airfield was then referred to as Nan-hu Airfield.

During the war, the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) used Wuchang extensively, expanding it with two concrete surfaced runway: 1,550m running north-south and the second 1,450m running east-west.

July 1, 1942–July 21, 1945

Postwar
During the 1950s, this airfield was expanded into a commercial airport and remained in use until Wuhan Tian-he Airport (Wuhan Tianhe Airport) was opened in 1995. Today, this location is part of Wuhan.
