Location Mogmog Airfield was located on Mogmog Island in Ulithi Atoll. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the western Caroline Islands. Today located in in Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia. Construction On December 12, 1944 built by U.S. Navy (USN) 88th Naval Construction Battalion (88th NCB) "Seabees" as a single runway. By January 27, 1945 Mogmog Airfield was completed. Wartime History Mogmog Airfield was use by light aircraft and liason planes for flights between interisland flights in Ulithi Atoll including Falop Airfield on Falalop Island.
