Location Lat 128°6'0" Long 1°17'0" Lolobato Airfield is located near Lolobata on a peninsula on the eastern arm of Halmahera Island (Pulau Halmahera) in the Molucca Island Group (Molucca Islands). Also known as Lolobato Drome. Lolobato Airfield was parallel to Hate Tabaco Airfield (Hatetabaco) on a peninsula. Prewar, during the Pacific War located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in North Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku Utara) in Indonesia. Construction Built by the Japanese as a single runway parallel to the coast with taxiways and revetments to one side. Although near Hate Tabaco Airfield (Hatetabaco) the two airfields were not interconnected. Wartime History Used by the Japanese as a military airfield. Attacked by Allied aircraft starting in July 1944 until the end of the Pacific War.
