Location
Chimu Seaplane Base was located Chimu Bay (Chimu Wan) with shore facilities at Chimu on the eastern coast of Okinawa Island in Okinawa Prefecture in Japan.
Construction
During July 1945 the U.S, Navy (USN) built Chimbu Seaplane Base for seaplane operations.
Wartime History
Chimu Seaplane Base was used by the U.S. Navy seaplanes and flying boats. During September 1945 and October 1945 damaged by typhoons and ceased being used.
Today
Disused since the Pacific War.
