Location
Lat 26° 27' 8N Long 127° 55' 4E Chimu is located on the eastern coast of Okinawa Island in Okinawa Prefecture in Japan. Borders Chimu Bay (Chimu Wan) to the south. Wartime American spelling Chimu. Also known as Chin, Kin, Kinmu, Kimmu, Kimu or Chimu Wan.

Built by USN used against Japanese mainland
Chimu Seaplane Base
Built by the USN during July 1945 in Chimu Bay and used as a seaplane base until destroyed by typhoons during September 1945 and October 1945.
