Location Motobu Airfield was located at the northwest corner of the Motobu Peninsula on the western coast in the northern Yanbaru Region of Okinawa Island in Okinawa Prefecture in southern Japan. Wartime History Motobu Airfield was used by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) until the end of the Pacific War. By the end of 1945, the single runway measured 7,000' x 100'.
