Construction
Built by the Japanese. Facilities included a seaplane ramp on the western coast of the island, off Wotje Airfied. Also, buildings and a hangers on the island. Seaplanes took off and landed on the western side of Wotje Island.

Wartime History
H8K Emily flying boats from the 24th Air Flotilla, based at Jaluit flew via Wotje on March 4-5, 1942 on a mission to bomb Oahu.
