Located approximately 120 miles north of Luzon and south of Formosa. Also known as "Batan Airfield". Today known as Basco Airport. Wartime History On December 8, 1941 occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War until the official surrender of Japan in 1945. American missions against Basco February 21 - July 4, 1945 Today Still in use today as Basco Airport as a small civilian airport and airport of entry.
