| Location Lat 13° 57' 18N Long 121° 7' 30E Lipa Airfield (East Lipa) is located to the north of Lipa and northeast of Lipa Airfield (Fernando Air Base). Mount Makulot is to the east. Also known as "East Lipa" or "New Lipa". The area was a sugar cane plantation. Construction Prewar, the area was surveyed as an airfield, but no construction took place. During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, an airfield was constructed at this location. Two runways were proposed, but only one was completed as of 1944. One runway (completed) spans northeast to southwest and measures 4,140' x 262'. A second runway (proposed) was to span west-northwest to east-southeast and measures 4,593' 262'.
