Location Naguilian Airfield was located at Naguilian to the east of San Fernando. Construction Built prior to the war. Wartime History On December 22, 1941 the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) 9th Infantry Regiment "Kamijima Detachment" landed at Bauang (Bouang) and an element advanced eastward to capture Naguilian and Naguilian Airfield then onward to capture Baguio two days after the initial landing. Immediately, Naguilian Airfield was used by the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as a forward airfield for light bombers to support operations on Luzon. Japanese units based at Naguilian 16th Sentai (Ki-30 Ann) Formosa (Taiwan) arrives late December 1941–January 1942 departs Clark Field 52nd Dokuritsu Chutai (Ki-15 Babs) Taiwan arrives late December 1941 74th Dokuritsu Chutai (Ki-36 Ida) Taiwan arrives late December 1941 American missions against Naguilian March 8, 1945 - August 7, 1945 Today Disused as an airfield since the Pacific War.
