Location
Lat 17° 37' 0" Long 121° 45' 0"  Tuguegarao Airfield is located at 70' above sea level at Tuguegarao in Cagayan Province in the northeast portion of Luzon in the Philippines.

Wartime History
On December 8, 1941 at the start of the Pacific War targeted by Japanese planes. On December 12, 1941 occupied by the Japanese Army "Tanaka Detachment". As early as the middle of December 1941, used by the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as a staging base for aircraft operating between Formosa and Luzon.

Starting in the middle of January 1945 targeted by American bombers and fighters until the end of July 1945.

American missions against Tuguegarao
December 8, 1941 - July 26, 1945

At Tuguegarao Airfield, Allied Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU) noted the wreckage of two A6M2 Zeros, seventeen A6M5 Zeros, four Georges, two Ki-43-II Oscars, five Ki-43-III Oscars, one Ki-44-II Tojo, four Li-61 Tonys, two Ki-84 Frank, two Ki-45 Nicks, four Ki-51 Sonias, one Ki-36 Ida, one D3Y3 Judy, one B5N1 Kate, one B6N2 Jill, one Ki-46-III Dinah, one Ki-57 Topsy, one Ki-21 Sally, one G4M2 Betty, one Ki-67 Peggy and one L2D Tabby.

Today
Still in use today as Tuguegarao Airport classified as a small airport. The single runway is oriented 35/17 measures 6,455' x 98' surfaced with concrete. Airport codes: ICAO: RPUT IATA: TUG.
